Practice will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 - 8 p.m. On Thursday nights, we will be joined by many of our Old Boys who like to get out and run touch. We welcome them as we can always use opposition to help us prepare for the rigors of 7s Tournament play.
The Wolfhounds welcome players of all experience levels. Interested players can show up for practice or contact John Warner or Tony Schenke for more details. Click here for directions to Brimelow Fields.
About the Wolfhounds:
The Wolfhounds are proudly sponsored by ProSource, Beacon Orthopaedic, Oxford Phyiscal Therapy and the Mt. Adams Pavilion. Originally, the Wolfhounds were founded in 1974 with a core of college alumni players from the University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, and Miami (Ohio) University. Since its founding, the team has enjoyed great success, being in the Mid-America Championships 17 times, winning the Ohio XVs more than a dozen times, and appearing in the Men's National Club Championships Sweet 16 in 1996, 1999, 2002,the Elite 8 in 2005, and the Final Four in 2007.
The Cincinnati Wolfhounds pride themselves on excellent Rugby fundamentals, high overall fitness, mental and physical stamina, and teamwork. These essentials form the basic elements for Wolfhound coaching techniques. As a result, Wolfhound coaching has produced U.S. Eagles, North American 4, Junior Eagles, Midwest Territory players, and Ohio Select Side players. Luke Gross, the most capped Eagle ever, began as a Wolfhound.
